What is a French Macaron?
A sweet meringue-based confection made with egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar & almond flour. A typical Parisian-style macaron is filled with a ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two shells, like to a sandwich cookie.
The confection is characterized by a smooth flat top, a ruffled rim—referred to as the "feet", and a flat base. They have a crunchy outer shell, mildly moist inside and easily melts in the mouth.
All macarons are made with almond flour and not all are gluten free. If you have an allergy, please let us know before placing an order. All French macarons must be kept refrigerated and then brought to room temperature before serving.
