Lauren Wingate is a pastry chef graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. Her specialty and passion is wedding cake design.
She has gained experience from working as a cake decorator at various bakeries in MA & RI and as Head Pastry Chef at Bailey's Beach Club in Newport, RI. She has been making her customers happy since 2010.

Wingate’s Cake Design is a boutique cake studio specializing in custom wedding cakes, dessert stations & artisan French macarons, located in Westport, Massachusetts. A one of a kind wedding cake is quite literally, the icing on your wedding day. Wingate’s Cake Design offers stunning, confectionary creations made from scratch, from traditional cakes to the currently trending vintage piped, pressed flower, floating tiers and hanging chandelier cakes.
When you book a tasting with us, you are invited to our private tasting room to relax and enjoy the experience, all while sampling delicious desserts and cake. Chef Wingate will personally be guiding you through your tasting and answering any questions you might have. When you decide what cake works best for you and your taste buds, she will create cake magic to ensure you and your guests get only the most delectable, sweet wedding day treats.
Services Offered: Wingate’s Cake Design is a full service cake & dessert boutique. Create a secondary groom’s cake, French macaron towers/wedding favors or pick and choose the perfect desserts for your event. Choose from any of our amazing options, and your sweet tooth will thank you.
Wingate's Cake Design provides wedding cakes for all of the Southcoast area from Cape Cod to Providence; the Newport area and of course locally in Westport. We also provide wedding cake delivery to Block Island, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard!
Our private tasting room can accommodate up to 4 people for your wedding tasting.
